One Night Only: Berlin x Union Saloon Izakaya Pop-Up

We’re bringing a taste of Berlin to Wallingford. On Sunday, September 7 at 6 pm, visiting chefs from Berlin (Luka Paolo and Lucia Rush) will team up with Union Saloon alum (Finn Schneider) for an izakaya-style pop-up full of playful small plates, grilled skewers, and creative pairings.

Expect craft cocktails, sake pours, and flavors that balance the bold and the delicate—think yuzu, matcha, chili crisp, and kombu.

The menu will follow the chefs’ inspiration, with dishes like:

• Seasonal pickles (fennel with yuzu, spinach & chard ohedashi, beets with lemongrass soy)

• Sharing plates (burnt leek with salicorn pesto, tomato “steak” with tomato water & katsuobushi, corn egg custard with chili crisp, handmade cavatelli)

• Skewers (pork tsukune with pickled ginger + black vinegar, sambal zucchini)

• A sweet finish (perhaps sweet potato mochi donuts)

Kick off your summer with a swirl of pink! Join us on Tuesday, June 24 from 6–8 PM for a casual drop-in rosé tasting. For $45, you’ll sample four handpicked rosés, snack on tasty bites, and soak up the good vibes. Whether you're a rosé newbie or a pro, this is your chance to sip, snack, and sparkle your way through a summer evening with your favorite Seattle corner spot in Wallingford.
